WW2 Wachtfuhrer German Nazi Red Cross Knife

Full size replica of the rare German Nazi red cross leaders knife. The cross guard has the DRK insignia at its center. Knife measures 13 inches in length.

The DRK leaders knife was introduced in February 1938 for dress wear by officers of the rank of Wachtfuhrer and above. The knife featured a plain pointed blade that conformed to the Geneva Convention because it was not worn in the field. Although the knife ceased production in 1940 it was worn by officers until the end of the war.
