Code-named Cottonmouth, O-Ren Ishii (portrayed by Lucy Liu) is a half-Japanese, half-Chinese American woman who saw her parents brutally murdered at the age of nine years under the orders of a Yakuza boss, whom she kills two years later in an act of vengeance.
