I bought this Dirk thinking that at the price it would be plastic all the way but it looked quite good and would brighten up a dull corner. When it arrived I was delighted, the screen shots give a false impression of the proportions. The handle is a comfortable fit for my hand and it is about a quarter of the length of the whole thing, the scabbard is much longer than it seems in the photos and it's full of blade. The blade is quite sharp and very pointy =()===> The handle and the mid section of the scabbard are plastic but all the important parts are metal. At this price I wasn't expecting something of this high quality.
